Music photography is simply what it says on the tin, Photographing live performances, shooting album artwork, music festivals, audiences and casual artwork of the artists themselves.
This particular piece of music photography is possible one of the most famous pictures ever taken and it is the cover of The Beatles Abbey Road album which is one of the most recognized album covers of all time. This picture has had many people trying to re-enact this perticular shot for example one direction and red hot chilli peppers.

Simply by typing into google images 'Abbey Road' you can see how succsessfull this image was because of how many different people have copied of it. It was shot by Iain Macmillan who was a friend of John Lennons and it was shot using a Hasselblad camera with a 50mm wide angle lense.
The shots that were not used from the shoot for the cover were sold in London for £16,000. Thosuands of Beatles fans gathered on Abbey Road to mark 40 years sicne the Beatles were photographed crossing it.
Fine Art -

Fine art photography was started around the early 20th century and from them to now is a very popular form of photography. The above image is an example of Cole Thompsons photography he is a very popular fine art photographer who works mainly in black and white.
Fine art can work with Photojournalism and is can be used to show very powerful messages and send incredibly touching vibes. A lot of fine art photographs have a lot of story behind the images and they give you a lot of things to think about.
This is a very famouse piece of fine art photography shot by Alfred Steiglitz showing working class people crowding two decks of a transatlantic steamer in 1907.
Sports-
Sports photography is very popular in the modern dy as there is no limits to what you can photograph and there is lots of room for creativity and very unique photos. Sports photographing can be any sports what so ever from football to darts. For the most part sports photography is trying to make the situation look as exciting as possible, or as interesting as possible.
This is one of my favourite sports photography shot as it is incredibly creative as it holds two separate sports, Wake boarding and Flatland BMX. This shot was took by a Red Bull sports photographer and was used for several adverts.
Sports photographers are well known for there massive lenses to capture the action as near or far as they are away from it.
Here are some examples of old and new sports photography.

Still Life -
Still life photography is often shot in studios as the photographer has more control over composition and lighting but this is not always the case. There is no boundaries in still life photography as you can make the most boring dull thing look interesting simply by controlling the angle of the shot and the lighting. For example the image below.
This image is essentially a very boring photo of some rocks, but by adding a shadow in the background and in-between the rocks it has created a very interesting picture.
This image on the other hand although it is a simple picture with not much going on I find it very interesting and the lighting is superb and is complimented by the added candle light. This picture was shot by Sebastien Chort, a French Still life photographer. Still life photography is commonly a small group of objects well composed which gives the photographer more leeway to change things around in the shot.
Landscape -
The application of landscape photography is mainly uses when shooting coastal areas or areas using lakes, reservoirs or anything else like this, this is a very traditional take on landscape photography but there is also other styles such as urban landscapes such as city scape's and skylines. So really there is no limit to the type of things you can shoot that falls into the category of Landscape photography. Landscape photography is often used to capture immense skylines, surreal coasts and within these photos show and describe a place in great detail only using a single photograph.
one type of landscape photographer is all round landscape photographer Lee Frost who's work i show a little bit of near to the start of my blog. Another type of photographer is Mike Seaborne who is one of Britain's finest urban landscape photographers. Another great photographer is the suburban landscape photographer Sean Litchfield.
Landscape photography mainly aims to get as much of the scene in the shot as possible, this is done by using depth of field. You can increase and decrees the depth of field by changing the aperture setting on your camera as the smaller the aperture the greater depth of field you get in your shots. A lot of landscape photographs that include water or cars or other things that are moving throughout the shot use a long shutter speed ranging from one second to one minute, this is done to give the shot a real feel of life and movement, but if you are using a long shutter speed you must use a tripod to ensure your camera stays still keeping everything in focus. Some photographers even use a wireless shutter release mechanism to ensure complete camera stillness.
A main part of Landscape photography is the focal point. The focal point is the thing that the photograph is aimed upon, this does not mean that it is the main attraction of the image, it may be something in the foreground that gives the image a touch of focus because without this even if you have an amazing background without a focal point your image may still look empty or bland. When setting up a shot with your focal point in place it is still important to not base your shot completely around your focal point and show some attention to your background and make sure you are giving it enough of the shot and not blocking out what could potentially make your picture incredible. One of the most important things to think about when choosing your angle and choosing your shot is what your are going to have dominating the picture for example if you have a beautifull sky you are you going to let a road or hill dominate your shot because this will leave your shot looking rather boring and bland
